Historically, many female authors chose to publish novels under male aliases in fear that their books would not sell if they had any connection to a woman.
Our Mission
Based in Los Angeles, The Alias Magazine is dedicated to voicing the opinions of GenZ through journalism. Our group of teen writers offer unique perspectives and challenge our readers to rethink the way they view the world. By encouraging difficult or taboo conversations, The Alias believes that we can change others' preconceived notions about sexism, feminism, and femininity. We hope to bring to light a variety of topics that will help break down barriers for women and allow them to succeed. And finally, we strive for women to discard their aliases and fight against misogyny.
